The design is applied with a permanent process called sublimation. They are not decals, vinyl or markers which means the image will not peel or crack or come off the cup in any way

Please note: given the image is printed onto the glass, the image will be translucent. The darker colors show up the best. Once you add a drink, the colors really pop!
